Safety Stock Shield stores only the merchant and app-operation data needed to configure inventory protection rules, process billing, and operate the app on Shopify.
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Shop domain, Shopify session records, app billing state, merchant-authored rules, compiled runtime snapshots, shop health records, audit logs, and protection events generated by the app.
Safety Stock Shield does not intentionally store payment card data, full customer profiles, or unrelated customer marketing data in its operational tables.
Data is used to publish and enforce safety-stock rules, display merchant diagnostics, support billing, troubleshoot issues, and meet Shopify platform and legal requirements.
Safety Stock Shield uses Shopify APIs and AWS-hosted infrastructure to provide the service. Merchant data is not sold. Data is shared only with service providers and platform systems required to run the app, process billing, secure the service, or comply with law.
Operational shop data is retained only while the app is installed and needed for app operation. When Shopify sends supported privacy or uninstall events, local shop data is deleted when it is no longer required for compliance, billing, fraud prevention, or audit purposes.
Safety Stock Shield supports Shopify privacy webhooks for customer data requests, customer erasure, and shop redaction. Merchants can also contact support if they need help reviewing or removing app data associated with their shop.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect app data, including authenticated Shopify requests, least-privilege app scopes, and server-side enforcement flows for sensitive operations.
